THROW THE WHOLE COMPUTER AWAY

Episode 8: The Watermark Battle

The internet will steal your stuff with CONFIDENCE.

That’s the first lesson.

I uploaded designs proudly. Feeling accomplished. Feeling creative.

Then immediately my brain said:

“What if somebody screenshots this right now?”

Now I’m spiraling.

Do I watermark everything? Big watermark? Small watermark? Transparent watermark? Corner watermark?

At one point the watermark was so huge you couldn’t even see the design anymore.

I basically watermarked the entire atmosphere.

But eventually I learned balance matters.

Protect your work without ruining presentation.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

Beginner Protection Lesson #8

BRAND YOUR IMAGES SMARTLY

Watermarks should:

  • protect your work
  • still allow customers to see details
  • include your brand name or website
  • stay consistent

Also understand:

If your content gets copied, it usually means your work is GOOD.

Still annoying though.

CLIFFHANGER

Tomorrow:

“Why Product Mockups Matter More Than I Thought.”

Because presentation changes EVERYTHING.
